Poppinjay Linen - Vintage

Poppinjay Linen - Vintage

Description:
An Ian Sanderson archive print featuring a charming bird in a stylised tree of life.
Originally wood roller printed on 27” linen in Lancashire in the 1930s, this printing technique was the next generation from the original method of hand wood blocking.

We have printed this design on rustic linen with a sensitive interpretation of hand block printed marks to achieve the enchanting character of the original fabric.

This fabric drapes beautifully for curtains and looks fabulous on this upholstered chair.
Printed in 2 original colourways from the 1930s together with 5 additional more contemporary colours.
